Instant Concert

March 24, 2024 3:00 pm

We open the season with a Sequel, and we will close with one, as well. This is Part 2 of our program titled “Instant Concert.” We will give you an instant concert of some of the greatest and most popular orchestral works of all time. Beloved and instantly recognizable melodies will permeate the North Port Performing Arts Center as we close out our 2023-2024 season.
We cannot wait to see you there.

Guest Artist: Alexa Lowrey

Alexa Lowrey made her North Port Symphony debut in 2014 where she performed to rave reviews, and is happy and excited to return to sing with this South Florida cultural icon, and especially with this Maestro.

A native Floridian, Alexa has seemed destined for the stage since she was one year old when, out of 50 contestants, she was chosen to be the Ruskin Tomato Queen. She has been treading the boards ever since.

Now, just shy of 23 years old, fresh out of university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from NYU Steinhardt, she has had many roles throughout her College and Regional Theater career. At NYU Steinhardt, she played the cut-throat character Eve Harrington in Applause, and River in a contemporary song cycle by Joey Contreras entitled In Pieces. Professionally, her credits include the title role in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Alice in The Addams Family, Mrs. Mayor in Seussical, and most recently was cast at the Fireside Theater’s (Wisconsin) production of Jersey Boys, covering all the female roles. Up next, she will be back home in Florida playing Sally at FreeFall Theater (St. Petersburg) in ThinkTank’s production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.

Alexa is loving the city life but is excited to be back home, performing at one of her favorite venues. She wants to thank her friends, family, and Maestro Robert for this opportunity, and especially her mom for her tireless effort, support and cheerleading.
