Meet the Maestro
Robert Romanski serves as the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the North Port Symphony
He has led the orchestra’s artistic growth and community engagement since 2012. A Sarasota native and graduate of the University of South Florida, he holds bachelor’s degrees in applied music and music education as well as a master’s degree in conducting. His extensive performance and conducting career includes collaborations with renowned ensembles and artists such as the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Florida Orchestra, Yanni for the ABC Disney Christmas Parade, and major Broadway and touring productions.

Education and Training
A native of Sarasota, Robert Romanski earned two bachelor’s degrees—one in applied music and one in music education—from the University of South Florida. He went on to complete a master’s degree in conducting and pursued ninety doctoral credit hours toward a PhD in Music Education at the same institution.
