Our Community Involvement

    Discounted and Free Tickets

    As a way to give back to our community and our volunteer musicians, the North Port Symphony provides discounted student tickets and complimentary tickets. In 2023-2024 season, the North Port Symphony donated more than $10,000 worth of net ticket sales to provide more arts and cultural experiences to our community.

  • School Support

     The North Port Symphony has provided new instruments, concert tickets, travel opportunities, and accompanist expenses to the North Port High School Orchestra program.

     In 2022, the NPS donated 10 brand-new Franz Hoffman Violins, and in 2024 all new custom fitted cello bridges.

  • Community Assistance

    The North Port Symphony has partnered with local non-profits to help populations in need including the North Port Coalition for Homeless/Needy Children (AKA Back Pack Angels), Jewish Family and Children Services of the Suncoast, and AMVETS Post 2000.

    We are proud members of the North Port Chamber of Commerce.

    Student Scholarships

    Each season, the North Port Symphony provides individual scholarships to student musicians in the orchestra. Funds go towards their musical education including instruments, music, lessons, and more. In the last 4 years, the North Port Symphony has provided $10,000 in individual scholarships. This includes our canceled 2020-2021 season for COVID-19.

    Hurricane Ian Relief

    The North Port Symphony provided $2,500 in free tickets to the North Port students and families that were affected by Hurricane Ian in November 2022.

2026 Student Scholarships

In the last 6 years NPS has donated more than $16,000 in scholarships.

In 2026, the North Port Symphony presented $3,500 in student scholarships to many of our high school and college student members.  The scholarships were presented to:
